Job description

Are you skilled at juggling administrative tasks and numbers hold no secrets for you? Paka is currently seeking an administrative assistant to join our team starting in February. Under the direct supervision of the management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily administrative tasks at Paka.

Main Responsibilities

Working alongside the team, the Administrative Assistant is tasked with:

  • Handling day-to-day accounting tasks
  • Managing government submissions (taxes, etc.)
  • Processing payroll using Employer D
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Monitoring email inbox
  • Initiating grant and funding applications
  • Drafting various documents
  • Ensuring proper document filing in the Drive and validating nomenclature
  • Supervising and overseeing interns and seasonal employees (between 2 and 4)
  • Generating receipts, invoices, purchase orders
  • Overseeing the reception of e-commerce orders
  • Developing administrative management protocols and defining best practice standards.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on interests and capabilities

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role
  • College diploma in administration, secretarial studies, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written, is essential.
  • Strong proficiency in Google tools (Google Workspace).
  • Strong knowledge of Quickbooks and Employer D software.
  • Experience with e-commerce software (an asset).

Contract duration: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
